Khattar, founder of the outfit Sanatan Mahasangh, was arrested in Kullu district on Friday after days of search in connection with the case registered.

The case pertains of the kidnapping and murder of a 13-year-old son of a businessman in 1995.

A YouTuber from Uttarakhand, Gautam Khattar, was detained in Himachal for derogatory comments about Saint Francis Xavier, sparking religious outrage.

Uttar Pradesh was "once known for extortion and crime is today recognised for its improved law and order and expressways," Nitin Nabin said.
